Web Questions.
How much does a website cost?
We’d love to just put black and white prices on our website, if we sold anything which was black and white we’d do it! The problem is you’re basically paying for our time and as every project is unique it requires a different amount of time.
We know cost is a critical factor in making decisions, so we will always try and provide an accurate “ballpark” cost after an initial conversation. No one wants to waste anyone’s time after all!
How long does it take to complete an app, website or software project?
Similar to costs, as every project is unique it’s impossible to say how long a project will take to complete before it’s examined. Again though, we will always try and provide a “ballpark” estimate after our initial conversation.
Do you provide web hosting and domain registration?
We’re happy to host your website on our Cloud hosting platform (we use the biggest guys around) but can also use any suitable hosting you may already have in place.
Domain registration is something we will assist with, that’s always helping you to register a domain however as we believe you should always own your domains!
How can I sell products online?
The number of options available for selling online is bamboozling. However, Ecommerce is one of those areas where we’ve dipped our fingers in the majority of the pies. We can help by discussing and understanding your products and clients, then deciding which avenues you need to use.
If a standalone ecommerce website is a viable avenue it’s highly likely we’ll suggest Shopify. It’s a platform which has quickly risen to the top and for good reason. It’s both simple and powerful while also being secure and reliable.
Do I have to add all my products to my ecommerce website manually?
No. Unless you have a very small range of products to sell you should not be listing products manually. We can help import your product data, be that your own data or data from your suppliers.
Will my website be mobile-friendly and responsive?
Honestly, this shouldn’t be something anyone needs to ask as it’s been a compulsory requirement for the last 10+ years! Depending on your market your traffic could be up to 85% mobile based. Many have a “mobile first” approach, we examine each project individually, but no matter which way the pendulum swings your site will be mobile friendly!
Can I update the website myself after it's built?
Of course! You always have access to a secure “backend” that enables you to control your site. All sites we build are built in platforms that have backend administration, you are always given unrestricted access and have the ability to add users who’s access can be limited to specific areas/capabilities.
How can I get on the first page of Google?
“How can I get on the first page of Google?” It’s that burning question which 10+ spam emails a day promise they can do. It sounds like a simple question, but it isn’t, because it all depends on what it is exactly you’re trying to get on the front page.
There are different SEO approaches depending on what content type you are trying to promote. We’ll work with you to understand your business and develop a strategy to reach your goals.
How much does it cost to sell a product online?
Well that all depends where you’re selling. If it’s through your own website (such as on the Shopify platform which we utilise) you are only charged a payment gateway processing fee for each transaction. This is similar to the fee when taking card payments through a terminal in person. In Shopify these fee’s start at 2% + 25p per transaction.
Compare this to markets such as ebay and Etsy who charge around 10-13%, you can see the attraction of operating your own site.
App Questions.
How much does an app cost?
Well not as much as it used to! Building an app is now within reach for the majority rather than the minority. That’s vague we know, however it’s impossible to just say here “an app costs £XXX”. Can your Apps feature In-App-Purchases and Subscriptions?
Yes! You can utilise In-App-Purchases in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Can you integrate third-party services or APIs?
Yes. There are several ways to integrate an app with third party services. That can involve using services such as Zapier or Make, or building bespoke direct integration via an API.
How do I get my app on the Google Play Store?
The short answer is it’s not as simple as it seems, a little simpler than the Apple App Store maybe, but we take care of it! In a nutshell it involves creating a Google Developer account and linking it to your Google Merchant account. You then have to ensure your app follows Google’s guidelines to ensure its entry is approved. You won’t see this happening though as we handle it!
What types of apps do you develop (iOS, Android, Web apps)?
We build apps on a cutting edge platform that allows us to deploy to both iOS/Android while also allowing deployment within a web browser. This gives us complete flexibility and allows you to build apps accessible from anywhere.
Can you help with both the design and development of an app?

How do I get my app on the Apple App Store?
The short answer is it’s not as simple as it seems but we take care of it! Long answer, it involves enrolling in the Apple Developer Programme before jumping through several hoops to make sure your app is compliant with Apple’s guidelines. Just know you won’t be left scratching your head, that’s our job!
Do you sign NDAs for app ideas?
We’re happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before discussing your idea for a project.

How do you handle project timelines and milestones?
All our project quotes are broken down in a granular fashion. We group elements of a project into logical phases which end in milestones. These milestones are often tied to the payment structure agreed for the project, so you know you are paying for tangible results which you can see.
Do I pay up front for my project or on completion?
The majority of projects have their cost broken down into phased payments. We group elements of a project into logical phases, these will end with milestones that are then often tied to a payment. The key is your payments are connected to seeing tangible results.
How can I grow on social media?
Growing on social media is all about content and showing that content to the right people. We won’t just help you find the right people, we can help create the actual content too, because who has the time!
How do you handle communication? Phone/email only?
Phone. Email. Zoom. WhatsApp. Teams. Google Meet. Kevin the Carrier Pigeon. Whatever is easiest for you I’m sure we can accommodate you. We’re used to catering to clients in different timezones too so wherever you are, don’t worry we’ll find a time to talk.
